My “career or rather stint” as a natural Sales Person started at the Markets in Beijing in 2008. My husband had a posting in China and South East Asia and at first I had to learn Mandarin to get by. Best place to practice was the Markets in Beijing City-Centre where the young Chinese ladies had a “bad reputation” amongst the Foreigners as feisty and hard Bargainers.
Every single day I walked past the markets and found something to bargain on as all the goods were “dirt cheap”…
This was at 16h00 in the afternoon after I took 2 buses and 2 trains to the University to study Mandarin. Walked knee-deep in the snow from the station to the University and back. In 2015 when we returned to South Africa (Pretoria) my Mom hinted why don’t I become an Estate Agent. Only 4 years later in 2019 I started this career and NEVER looked back…simply love what I do…
