I started my financial services career in 1987 at Old Mutual Corporate where I was employed as the Head of Marketing. Later in my tenure, I was seconded by Old Mutual to BOE/Nedbank. After leaving Old Mutual to start my own business, I consulted for several businesses in the financial services industry, mostly on compliance. Additionally, I founded Simpson Consulting (Pty) Ltd which is currently managed by my wife Sharon Simpson, focusing on Short Term Insurance and Medical Malpractice.
I am a graduate of the University of Cape Town (UCT) where I completed my education at the Graduate School of Business and the UCT Law Faculty.
